Insurance companies usually dictate that any property restoration company respond within 30 minutes of receiving a call. But that's the bare minimum. Often, they'll simply choose to do business with the companies who have someone answering the phone around the clock. That receptionist can then dispatch workers to remove trees from people's homes, repair a roof or clean up after a flood or fire.

What if you're the one experiencing the act of nature that has disrupted your life or business? Will your phone stay connected? During the big blackout of 2003, many of our customers transferred their phone service over to us, since their battery back-up systems would start running out in four hours or less.
