FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CAM-X's total Breast Cancer Research Fundraising surpasses $100,000.00 The Canadian Call Management Association (CAM-X) continues to support Breast Cancer Research at its Annual Convention & Trade Show held in St. John's, NL October 16-19, 2007 Grimsby, ON, November 2, 2007 - In 2004 CAM-X raised $20,000 in support of breast cancer research followed by $34,000.00 in 2005 and $28,000.00 in 2006. This year, with the support of both CAM-X members and CAM-X vendors, the Association raised just over $23,000.00 bringing the grand total to $105,000.00 in four short years. The silent auction for breast cancer research was such a success last year that it was decided to maintain the same format for this year's annual Tradeshow and Conference. It was also felt that breast cancer is such a relevant and significant cause that efforts again should be targeted towards this charity. This year's silent auction was held in conjunction with a Charity Casino night on Thursday, October 18, 2007. Items donated included a glorious week at a Deleware beach house, a Montreal weekend experience for 6, a sin-dulgance weekend in Charleston, SC, a weekend at Camp Verbier, Northern, ON, a Leap Of Fair museum quality print, IPODs and much more. "CAM-X Members and Vendors continue to amaze us. By including the silent auction at the last three conferences, we have raised over $82,000.00 in support of this worthy cause. Our members are generous and big hearted." said CAM-X Executive Director Linda Osip.
