Encore TeleSolutions 2011-2012 Goals Working at two to three goals at a time, here is the following order of what is still needed to complete Going Green at Encore TeleSolultions.

  1. Bring Litter and Waste Free Lunches to Work, using reusable coffee and equipment filters - DONE!!!
  2. Label Recycling Containers appropriately and install signage to encouragge use - DONE!!!
  3. Implement a "No Idling Policy", Inclusive to Employers, Employees and Suppliers (2 signs needed Front and Back).
  4. Clean Light Fixtures Monthly - ONGOING!!!
  5. Collect the Organic Waste such as Food Scraps, Paper Towels and Coffee Grounds in Green Bins and Compost.
  6. Have an E-Waste Probram, Encouraging Employees to bring Electric Items from home to be recycled.
  7. Set Domestic Water Heaters to a standard of 60%, Check Monthly by Adding to Safety Inspection.
  8. Have a Grey Water Collection System, Direct Downspouts into Rain Barrels or Cistern and re-use the water.
  9. Replace Harmful Products with EcoLogo Certified (or equivalent) non-toxic options.
  10. Eliminate all Aerosol Cleaners, Aerosol-Propelled Substances and Room Freshners - DONE!!! and ONGOING!!!
  11. Provide All Employees with a "Safe" Bicycle Storage Rack Area.
  12. Insulate Hot Water Heaters/Distribution Pipes.
  13. Conduct a Waste Audit.
  14. Change Procurement Practices to Avoid Overly Packaged Products and Wasteful Services.

Here Are the Current Percentages that Encore Tele Solutions is sitting at for Going Green for a Business:

Energy Conservation: 70%
Water Conservation: 73%
Polution and Waste Reduction: 62%
Transportaion, Equipment and Operations: 77%

As part of our green effort our challenge to reduce the number of paper cups used was:

Week 1 – 62
Week 2 – 46
Week 3 – 22
Week 4 – 18
