Inbound Telephone Operator (Answering Service Agent)

Caring and professional individuals that have the ability to multi task and enjoy assisting people would be best suited for this position. Our company provides 24 hour reception, dispatch, emergency response, telephone order taking and appointment scheduling services to businesses across Canada and into the U.S.
All tele-receptionists work within our building; we do not offer home worker positions.
Staff must be available to work evening and weekends. This is shift work, we do not offer set shifts. Full time is 30-44 hours per week, part time is 20-30 hours per week. Shifts range 4-12 hours in duration, 12 hour shifts are usually scheduled on weekends to try and accommodate every other weekend off. Christmas and all holidays will be scheduled as we are an emergency response centre, we never close.
Starting wage is $12.00 per hour, plus benefits.
We have four levels of tele-receptionist with a pay range of $12.75-$15.00 per hour. Our levels incentive has been designed with the intent that tele-receptionists will advance one level per quarter for their first year. Our quarterly bonus program rewards individual and team efforts.
Candidates must have a pleasant telephone manner, a clear speaking voice and the ability to use good manners and proper grammar. A minimum typing speed of 30 w/p/m, and completion of High School is also required. Full training is provided.
